Bereavement Support at BDP
Bereavement Support at BDP
If you have experienced a recent bereavement due to drugs and alcohol we are here to support you.
Support for families and friends
Bereavement Through Addiction was founded in 2009 by two parents, as a result of their experience of losing their son. BTA host a monthly support group for family members and friends who have lost a loved one through alcohol or drug use at BDP. To find out how to access the group and for more information please contact us.
Please be aware that the monthly BTA group is on a brief hiatus. We will update this page as and when it is back up and running.
Bereavement Memorial
BTA hold an annual memorial in November to mark the lives of those lost to alcohol and other drugs. To find out when the next memorial service is, please subscribe to the BTA mailing list.
If you are interested in contributing to BTA, please email us at bereavement@bdp.org.uk.
We can also provide you with links to appropriate organisations who can support you around the loss of a loved-one through alcohol or other drugs.
Counselling services can provide a safe place to express your grief and difficult thoughts and feelings in a confidential and supportive environment, allowing you to make sense of your own personal grief process.
