We have been working with the Universities of Bristol and Bath to find out how the Coronavirus pandemic has affected the lives of people who inject drugs in Bristol.
Deb and Jack from our Engagement Team have been out and about over the last few weeks finding individuals who might be willing to share their stories of being in lockdown and how this has affected their lives. These meetings are helping us to understand how to best support people who inject drugs in this challenging time and are informing our work on a week by week basis.
We hope to finish recruiting for interviews by the 7th August and will publish the full results later. In the meantime the team behind the project have posted a blog about the challenges they have been facing researching the experiences of people who inject drugs during a pandemic.
With thanks to all those who have been willing to participate in the interviews and the research team.
