Rising Voices receives a donation from Rolls-Royce.
Following last year's festive performance of Christmas Carols, Rolls-Royce has donated £350 to Bristol's Recovery Choir.
In late December, Rising Voices were invited by Rolls-Royce's Community Investment team to sing at the annual Rolls-Royce 'Lunchtime Festive Concert of Christmas Carols & Seasonal Songs' along with Bristol's Salvation Army Band.
The 11-strong choir sang in their Atrium, a room full of Rolls-Royce history, where a range of historical engines and machinery were displayed.
BDP's Sophie, who helped launch Rising Voices only a year earlier in late November 2014, described how the choir were warmly welcomed and treated to a Christmas dinner in the employees canteen.
"The responses and feedback we got were really positive – I think people were surprised at how good we were!". The response was so positive that they have already been asked to sing at next year's event!
The day generated lots of excitement and pride for Rising Voices, who would now like to display their gratitude to Rolls-Royce Community Investment Team for their generous donation.
If you would like to book Rising Voices for a performance or are interested in joining the choir and would like more information, please call Sophie on 0117 987 6015.
The choir meets every Thursday, 5:30 - 7 pm at The Unitarian on Brunswick Square (BS2 8PE) and is open to beginners.
